Zazen meetings.
Every tuesday and thursday at 19 - 20:45 we conduct zazen
(meditation) meeting in Egely Monastery, Egely,
Glappevej 12 Østermarie.
Introductory weekends will be held several places in Denmark during the next few months. Should you be interested, then please contact us.

Bornholm (Egely) january 26-27

Odense april 12-13
KESSEI
First kessei in Egely monastery will be from june 28 to july 30 2008.
Included is a 3-dayand a 7-day sesshin.
Price: Dkr. 5000.
Please send filled-out application form and deposit of Dkr. 1000 no later than may 26 2008.

In
order to overcome our greed and egoism a buddhist practices dana,
giving. The teacher gives his time and wisdom, the sangha gave the
temple/monastery, students and guests gives food and other
necessities to the monks, money to the temple.
The
templet
depends on gifts and dana, the generosity of people. This continuous
voluntary commitment allows Egely monastery to grow and continue her
programs.
Since many people are uncertain
about the amount of dana, here is a list of suggestions.
Weekly zazenmeetings: kr. 50 each time or kr. 70
per week.
Meal: kr. 30
Overnight stay incl. meals (vegetarian).
Overnight stay is for now in own tent or in the hayloft. Please bring
sleeping bag and maybeair mattress or camp pad as well.
Come prepared to participate in all activities.
kr. 150/day.
Transportation to or from ferrry/airport.
kr. 50 per trip (not per person).
Members
We suggest you become a member of SZC omńce you decide to
actively study with Denko.
As an active member we ask that you donate ca. 2% of your
monthly
brutto-income (but at least kr. 250/mo) to the tempel, if you live on
Bornholm.
For non residents of Bornholm we suggest 0,5%
of your brutto-income, but at least kr. 75/mo.
Aktive members are not expected to give the same amount as
others, since they give on a monthly basis.
It is for example unnecessary to give for the weekly sittings, and
overnight stay incl. meals are kr. 100
per day.
Dokusan
You have to be an active member and be able to visit the monastery at
least once every other month in order to become personal student of
Denko.
Dokusan is only for students of Denko. You can come
to shoken,
when you are considered ready, in order to formally becomea student of
Denko.
Dokusan instruction is given on a regular basis.
Longer consultation with Denko can be arranged. You do not
need to be a member.
Kr. 650 per hour.
